looking for an old childrens book...anyone know the title?
this book im looking for is a book i remember reading like in the 6-7th grade so its not so much a kids book but its meant for very young adults
its about this kid who is taken into this government (not the united states) and becomes there spy, in one scene towards the start of the book he plays a friends game of billiards (they called it billiards) with the boss of the government and wins earning alot of money...later on in the book they betray him and put him in a giant aquarium with a giant jellyfish with a sting that could kill him

The kid (Alex Rider) is taken into the British Intelligence (MI6) after his uncle, a spy named Ian Rider and Alex's guardian, dies. Alex is sent to investigate Herod Sayle, a computer empire owner. Alex beats Sayle at billiards, and tries to escape, so Sayle tries to kill him and puts him in a tank with a Portuguese Man of War jellyfish. Alex escapes and they all live happily ever after until the next book
