Do you think God is just playing us for his own guilty pleasure?
Kind of like "Risk" (the board game) Him and his friends pick a country and pick their ruler then just go on from there for world domination. Then when the game is done and they are bored they throw all their pieces in and there you have it 2012.
Before I became agnostic, I believed that. One of the hardest things for me to swallow when trying to read the bible was trying to understand how I was supposed to not do all these terrible "narcasitic" & prideful things, when God displayed every single one of these horrible things. I can definitely understand how they came up with "A God complex". It goes with the whole practice what you preach thing. It is hard for me to understand how such a loving deity could want his followers to have such a low self worth about themselves just to prove how special he was.
And I don't mean any disrespect towards the religious community, but how sick can a deity be to sit there and act like it is some awesome thing to give us the choice to make our own decisions, and to give us our own thoughts, and the brain to learn anything imaginable, but then make us pay for the rest of eternity if we dare question any of them. It's the ultimate mind messer upper. (And that was the most polite way I could put it). I can't help but to wonder if he sits up there and laughs at us for being little pawns in his hand. (If I were to believe that there really was a God)
